Iowa Center Items.

Our community was startled on the sudden death of Mr. W. H. Matteson of Deer Grove, which took place on Friday forenoon; although he had been complaining for some time, yet he was seriously sick but a few days. Mr. Matteson was one of our oldest citizens having settled in this township about twenty five years ago. He was a quiet inoffensive man with a large circle of friends. The funeral services were by the Rev. Wm. Neal, at the M. E. Church. His estimable wife and interesting family of children have true heartfelt sympathy of a large circle of friends.
