Saturday afternoon, or evening, the wife of Jno. McNess, who lives on the Boone and Story county line southwest of the city, fell dead while milking a cow. Mrs. McNess had been a sufferer from heart disease for a year or two past, though nothing serious was anticipated from it. She was a sister of Jno. J. Judge.
