From Nevada Representative March 19, 1879

Taylor Davis, one of Story county's old pioneers, died lately at Fairburg, Nebraska; also all of his children three in number. His wife wa not expected to live at last reports.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: William Taylor Davis died 12 February 1879 in Fairbury, Jefferson County, Nebraska. He had three sons: Clayton J. Davis, Senator W. Davis and John D. Davis. I believe I have found Senator in a subsequent census and John D. Davis married in 1906. So, I believe all three children did not die in 1879 as stated.
