Mr. J. Q. Leffingwell received the sad news from Ohio last week of the death of his father, aged about 78 years. He had lived on the same farm near Chillicothe, for half a century, and in the same county several years longer. He carried on his farm and conducted his own business affairs up to the date of death. He leaves quire a large amount of property to divide among a family of about six children.
