From Nevada Representative August 29, 1877

Just as we go to press we learn that Mr. J. K. Bolt, druggist, of Boone, and his daughter, Allie, about 8 years old, were killed this forernoon near Colfax, in Jasper county, and that his wife Mrs. Bolt, and Col. Lowrie and wife, of Boone, were badly injured. Mr. Hawley Maine, of Boone, was on the train this afternoon, going to their assistance. Mr. Bolt is well known to several of our citizens, and Mrs. Bolt and daughter have visited here. We have no particulars as to how it occurred. The accident is certainly a sad one.
