Ames Intelligencer: J. B. Elliott has gone to Olin, Iowa, to attend the funeral of his brother-in-law....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "J. B. Elliott" was John B. Elliott, listed as a furniture dealer in the 1895 Ames, Story County, Iowa census. John B. Elliott was the son of Andrew Elliott and Rebecca (Melick) Elliott. His sister, Mary Jane Elliott, married George Blayney on 8 February 1849 in Morrow County, Ohio. George Blayney was born 25 March 1828 in Pennsylvania and died 25 November 1894 in Cedar County, Iowa. He is buried in the Olin Cemetery, Jones County, Iowa.
