Charles Gould Beede, the Ames poet, died Sunday noon.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: According to death records, Charles Gould Beede died October 7, 1906 and WPA Records show a grave for him in Gilbert, Story County, Iowa. Mr. Beede married (a second marriage for him) Mary Lillian Barker on 14 April 1897 in Franklin Township, Story County, Iowa. He is listed as born in Newport, Rhode Island and the son of Elias D. Beede and Mary Ann Mitchel. Mary Lillian Barker was listed as the daughter of Charles T. Barker and Harriet Chase.
