Joseph W. Sheffield an aged resident of Howard township died Thursday of last week. Mr. Sheffield was one of the pioneer settlers of Story County. He leaves a wife and a large family of children to mourn his demise. The funeral was held Friday. For many years he had been a sufferer from a cancerous growth on his face and due to this his death.
