Mrs. Maggie Bratke, 77, widow of the late August Bratke, died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Ernest Niffenegger in Des Moines Saturday morning, May 21, at 5 o'clock.

Funeral services were held at the Presbyterian church in Maxwell Monday at 2:00 with the Rev. H. D. Robinson in charge. Burial in Evergreen Cemetery at Collins.

Mrs. Bratke, a native of Germany, came to America when a child of 5 years of age and had lived in the southern part of Story county for the past 25 years.

She leaves two sons, Fred Link of Farrar and Vern Link of Des Moines; and three daughters, Mrs. E. E. Jones of Collins, Mrs. Ernest Niffenegger of Des Moines at whose home she died, and Mrs. John Wallin of Escondido, Calif.
