James A. Buchanan, of Gilbert, died on Monday last after a brief illness. He was one of the better farmers of Franklin township and had just got things into shape for enjoying the future and it is hard to stop and consider that the end should have come at just such time. Only a few short weeks since in conversation with him he stated that he expected shortly to get into his new up to date residence and be in shape to enjoy the future with his family in better form than ever before. He leaves a wife and family to look foward to that meeting in the better land where partings shall be no more.
