Ames

On Friday last D. G. Ferguson died at his residence in this city after a lingering illness of several months, commencing in the form of paralysis. He has lived here several years coming here about 35 years since. He leaves a wife and grown up children to mourn his loss. The funeral was held on Sabbath last under the auspices of the Masonic fraternity of which the remains were interred in the Ames cemetery. The sermon was by Rev. Wilcox of the Boone M. E. church.
