From Story County Watchman May 27, 1904

James Wammock died at his home in this city on the north side Monday last at the age of 88 years. The funeral was held Tuesday under the direction of Rev. Nye at the Walnut Grove church. He has long been a resident of this county and is well fpoken of by his friends in the county.

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: James Womack was the deceased's son. The writer must have had some confusion. W. B. Womack lived in Union Township, Story County, Iowa much of the time as he can be found in Story County censuses from 1856-1870. However in 1880 up through at least 1887, he lived in Rook County, Kansas where his first wife, Rebecca (Kerns) Womack died in 1885 and where he remarried in 1887.
