The Sad Death of Little Frances Ashford.

The sad news of the death of Frances Josephine Ashford, came to this city this morning, causing deep grief among their large circle of acquaintances. Mr. and Mrs. Achford left Boone for Chicago Monday morning, and were awaiting the recovery of their child from an operation performed at the West side hospital. It was not to be so, however, and the little one was called to the bright realm where suffering ends. Frances Josephine Ashford was born in this city on August 5, 1902, and died Wednesday morning May 11, 1904, at six o'clock. She was the only child, and her untimely death comes as a severe shock to her parents, who have the sincere sympathy of the community.

Mr. and Mrs. Ashford will arrive with the remains at 6:40 this evening. The funeral arrangements have not yet been made.--Boone News 11.

Mr. T. L. Ashford is a son of Mr. and Mrs. O. G. Ashford of this city and T. L. and Mrs. A. have the sympathy of their many friends in this very sad bereavement.
