From Story County Watchman March 18, 1904

Geo. Hanna died at his residence in west Grant township on Tuesday morning at the advanced age of 70 years. The funeral was held yesterday and the remains interred in the cemetery at Ames. He has been a resident of this county of many years and is well and favorably known in all sections. He leaves a wife and three sons to mourn his loss, and they are receiving the condolences of their many friends in thei their hour of trial.
