Ann Travis was born in Illinois in 1851, died near this city Tuesday, December 15, 1903, moved with her parents to Iowa while yet a child, where she grew to womanhood. She was married to A. K. Mendenhall June 17, 1869, and to this union four children were born all of whom together with the husband survive her.
