From Story County Watchman July 24, 1903
Ames, July 21.--Mrs. Milan Zenor, an old settler and a highly respected old lady, died at the home of her home of her daughter* on July 16, 1903, in Clay county, where she has been making her home for the past year. She was brought to Ames Saturday evening and the funeral services were conducted in the Christian church at Ontario Sunday by Rev. Wilson of the U. B. church of this city, and the remains were interred in the Ontario cemetery.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mrs. Zenor's daughter is most probably Johanna Zenor, who married Archibald Wallace McDanel (recorded as W. W. McDaniel) on 9 March 1876 in Story County, Iowa. "Joanna McDonel" is recorded in Clay County, Iowa in the 1925 census but was actually buried in Buena Vista County, Iowa in 1937.
