Maxwell Tribune: .... Dr. C. F. Hatcher was called to Prairie City Thursday on account of the deathof his mother. Mrs. Hatcher was quite an old lady and her death had been expected for some time....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Dr. C. F. Hatcher" was Dr. Charles F. Hatcher. According to WPA Records, Lucinda (Schaffer) Hatcher was born 7 June 1818 and died 27 May 1903 and was buried in the Lowman Cemetery, Polk County, Iowa.
