From Story County Watchman March 13, 1903

The six-year-old orphan daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Al Taylor died at the home of its grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. John Larson, living just east of town last Saturday. The funeral services were held at the residence, conducted by Rev. J. E. Hummon, on Monday afternoon. The remains were laid to rest in the Nevada cemetery.
