Collins Clipper: ....Joanna Janes was born June 9, 1835, at Jeffersonville, Fayette county, Ohio. Died at Collins, Story county, Iowa, March 2, 1803, aged 67 years, 8 months, 23 days. She was united in wedlock to Joseph L. Hidy on April 10, 1852. To them were born five sons. They moved to Story county, Iowa, in Oct., 1858, of which they have been residents ever since.
