Collins Clipper: ....Martha Jane Tripp was born at Keokuk, Lee county, Iowa, June 21, 1841. She was married to Edward Oswalt April 6, 1856, at the old homestead near Clyde, Jasper county, Iowa. She died at 2 a. m. Feb 2, 1903, at their home northeast of Collins, her age being 61 years, 6 months and 11 days.
