From Story County Watchman November 21, 1902

A death that should be of interest to our people took place the first of the week at Redhead, Dak., it being Mrs. Evans, the wife of one of the early Judges of this county, and who has been up there making her home with relatives for several years past. The remains are to be interred in Ames this week. All old settlers will be pained to know that the end has at last been reached by her, even though in the course of nature it was to have been expected ere this time.
