Ames Times: George, the eight-months-old child of Mr. and Mrs. 'Than Hughs, living eight miles northeast of Ames, died at the family home last Tuesday, from catarrhal pneumonia....

Ames Intelligencer: ....The little son of Geo. T. Hughes living northeast of Ames was laid to rest in the Ames cemetery last Thursday, the services being conducted at the house at 1 o'clock by the pastor of the little church of Pleasant Grove.
