Ames Times: ....Dr. G. F. Simmons died at the family home Tuesday morning after a lingering illness. Dr. Simmons has been a resident of Ames for many years and enjoyed the esteem of his friends and the citizens of this town. The funeral will be held this morning at 10:30 in the Christian church....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Dr. Simmons was a veterinarian. He died 26 November 1901 in Ames, Iowa.
