Story City Messenger: ....Cornelius Stenberg 18 year old boy son of Mr. and Mrs. Stenberg living 3 1/2 miles east of Ellsworth was struck by lightening a week ago last Saturday while he was standing in a load of hay leaning upon a fork when the lightening struck him and his companion Henry Olson had barely time to get his dead body from the load and the horses unhitched when the load and wagon were consumed by fire. The few scattering showers which we have had this season have caused more than usual loss to life and property....
