OBITUARY.

Miss Mary Reddington was born in Sharon, Orange Co., Vermont June 1, 1812, and depated this life at the ome of her nephew Symour Adams, in Cedar Rapids, June 16th, 1901, aged 89 years and 15 days. She was converted to Christ in her 15th year and united with the church at the age of 19. For 60 years she was a member of the church and for more than 64 years a follower of him who said "I am the resurrection and thelife and because I live ye shall live also." The deceased leaves to mourn her departure four nephews and one niece besides many warm personal friends who will miss her kindly greeting and warm friendship.

Miss Reddington spent the grater part of her life in the east. About 12 years ago she came to Iowa and since that time made her home with her relatives.

The departed was a lady of education and true refinement, few person indeed were better informed than she but by those who were with her in her last illness she will be best remembered by her dying testimony as to the presence of Christ and the power of God to save from sin. The following is her own testimony at the time by Mrs. Symour Adams "If this is death the sooner from sin and pain I will be free. All is well, all is well, Christ is with me, it is not dark here. Oh! I am in a happy company, Jesus can make a dying bed feel soft as downy pillows are, while on his breast I lean my head and breath my life out sweetly there." The funeral took place from the home of her nephew, L. C. Adams of Colo June 18th. Services by J. M. Bamford, pastor of the United Evangelical church Colo, Iowa.
