W. J. Person died at his home near Kelly Tuesday and the funeral was from there and the remains were taken to Ames for interment there being some 50 teams in line thus showing the esteem in which he was held by his neighbors. The cause was blood poisoning owing to a slight accident which was not regarded as at all serious. He stood exceedingly well as was thus indicated. His age was 28 years.

Ames Intelligencer: ....Wm. Persons died at his home near Kelley, Tuesday. He had had a boil on his hand lanced after which blood poisoning set in, causing his death....

Mr. Will Persons, of Kelley, died Tuesday afternoon. The remains are to be buried in Ames.
