From Story County Watchman April 12, 1901

Friday night Miss Hattie Cobleigh died in this city from what is supposed to be peritonitis. Some time since her mother was taken sick and she came home from Nebraska where she has been running a millinery store to assist her during her illness with the result that she was taken doen and in a few days passed away to the better land. The remains were laid to rest in the Nevada Cemetery with appropriate ceremonies.
