Cambridge Dispatch: ....Mrs. Aplin received the sad news of the death of her son-in-law Mr. Smith who lived in Tennessee....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: "Mrs. Aplin" was Elizabeth Ann (Miller) Aplin, widow of Albert Conway Aplin. Their daughter, Mary Miller Aplin married John Rudolph Smith on 3 August 1886 in Story County, Iowa.
