From Story County Watchman January 4, 1901
Mrs. Johnson, mother of W. H. Johnson, near the Boone county line, died there the first of the week aged 93 years. The last rites were held Wednesday with quite a number in attendance. She had long been a resident of this county and stood in the esteem of her neighbors who were sorry to learn of her demise even though in the due course of nature and at a ripe old age.
