From Story County Watchman December 21, 1900

Cambridge Dispatch: ....Burton Wald of Slater--well known to many of the people in Cambridge, is dangerously ill at the Augsbury Seminary at Minneapolis with typhoid fever. News was received by relatives yesterday of his death, occurring at Minneapolis Wednesday.
