Colo Watchman.
Mr. Jacob Carver died suddenly at the home of his brother, J. Carver, eleven miles north west of Colo, Friday morning, Nov. 16. He had been in the usual health up to the moment of his death. The funeral services were held in the Evangelical church at Zearing, on Sunday, Nov. 18, conducted by Rev. Frank Caldwell, pastor of the Methodist church at Colo. The church was crowded during the services by relatives and friends of the deceased. Mr. Carver was buried in the Zearing cemetery. Jacob Carver was born March 17, 1827, near Troy, Miama county, Ohio. Was married to Miss Leoina Drollinger in the year 1860. To them was born one daughter, Mrs. Mary Oaks, of Grand Island, Neb. who was present at the funeral. Mr. Carver was 73 years, 7 months and 88 days old. He leaves one daughter, two brothers and two sisters to mourn his loss. For last twenty years he had his home with his brother where he died.
