From Story County Watchman November 2, 1900

The two and a half year old child of John Weines died at their home in the south west part of the city the first of the week and the funeral was held from home by Rev. Schrader Wednesday and the remains were interred in the cemetery at this point. The sympathy of their friends go to them in this hour of affliction.
