From Story County Watchman September 28, 1900

DIED.--In this city Monday evening at the resicence of her daughter, Mrs. T. A. Morain, Mrs. Mary Friesner, aged 86 years. The result has been anticipated for some time owing to her having fallen on the 8th of July and dislocated a hip. Since that time she has been confined to her room. The funeral took place Tuesday afternoon and the remains were taken to her old home in Illinois for interment. She was also the mother of Mrs. R. A. Frazier and Mrs. T. J. Matheny of this city to whom all extend their sympathy in this their hour of sorrow and trouble.
