OBITUARIES

Clara M. Christenson, 90

Mrs. Clara M. Christenson, 90, Ames, passed away at the Riverside Manor in Ames on Monday, Feb. 3, 2003 as a result of pneumonia.

Services were held Saturday, Feb. 8 at the Bethany Lutheran Church at McCallsburg with burial followning in the Warren Township Cemetery in McCallsburg. She was a life long McCallsburg resident.

Clara was born March 9, 1912 in Hardin County to the parents of Thomas and Dorothea (Twitt) Chentland.

She married Arnold H. Christenson on Dec. 5, 1929 at the Boone County Courthouse in Boone. She was a homemaker and housewife. She was also a member of the Bethany Lutheran Church.

She is survived by a son, Eugene (Jackie) Christenson of Ames, a daughter Mrs. Connie (John) Johnson of McCallsburg, 11 grandchildren, 23 great grandchildren, a sister, Mrs. Carl (Della) Vaage of Forest City. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, three brothers and four sisters.

Fredregill Funeral Home of Zearing was in charge of arrangements.
