DIED--At the residence of her son, J. L. Pool, on the 6th of January, Mrs. Wm. Pool aged about 70 years. She was born in Richardson county, Ind., and on March 8th, 1848, was united in marriage to Wm. Pool. They moved to Story county in 1863 since which time they have made this their home. To this union were born nine children seven of whom survive her. The last rites were hld under direction of Rev. Shrader of the Lutheran church from the church at Johnson's Grove on Sunday afternoon, assisted by Rev. Hearsh. A large number assembled at the church at the time to do honor to one who for so many years had been a resident in the neighborhood thus indicating how highly she had been held for years by neighbors and friends. A brother and his wife were here from Indiana together with children and grand children were present to mourn her loss. Her loss will be greatly felt by them all and they will look forward to a reunion in the future where parting shall be no more. Her husband died several years since and the remains were laid beside his.
