This morning undertaker Hammond received word that the body of Mrs. Daniels would be here this morning and instructing him to have a grave dug on their lot in the cemetery beside the one there, which he did. The remains of Mrs. Daniels arrived and was promptly cared for and now lied beside her son there*. She was aged 79 years. Many years since she was a resident of this place and the older settlers will remember her well. The remains were sent from Northeast Pennsylvania where she died and met by Mr. Bliss, a nephew, from Iowa Falls, at Chicago, who conducted them to this city.
*SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Her son, Frank L. Daniels (1846-1865), is buried beside her. He was in Company K, 32nd Iowa Infantry.
