DIED--At his residence in Milford on Sunday last George Gilmore aged 82 years. He was a native of Ireland but came to this country at an early age and made it his home. He settled in this county some 50 years since and ahs been a constant advocate of the possibilities and probabilities of Iowa. He settled upon a farm at an early day and became one of the wealthy and influential citizens of this locality. The last services were held in the Baptist church in Ames after which the remains were brought to the Nevada cemetery for interment. He leaves a son, Wm. Gilmore, to mourn his loss and look forward to a meeting in the great beyond.
