Cambridge Dispatch: ....Thomas Conley, Sr., was born Feb. 23, 1824, in County Antrim, Ireland, of Scotch parentage. Came to America in 1853, and was united in marriage to Martha Jane McCloskey, Feb. 7, 1854. Of this union eight children were born who survive him, his wife and one son having gone before. Himself and wife united with the Pres church in Phnoville, Penn., the same year of their marriage and continued their membership throughout their entire lives. He removed his family to Ill. in 1858 where they resided until 1868, when he removed to Story county, Iowa, where he lived until the loss of his wife in 1888. He was at the home of his youngest son M. G. Conley, in Ft. Collins when the last call came. Funeral services were conducted at the house, Tuesday after which he was laid to rest in Grandview Cemetery.
