Grandma Beedle died Wednesday evening at six o'clock at her son Will Beedle's, after a short but severe sickness. Her children were all with her to the last and done all that could be done. Also Mrs. Latham of Des Moines and Mrs. Campbell of Boone were with her. The time for the funeral has not been set. Obituary will appear next week.

The funeral of grandma Beedle was held at the Christian Church Friday last week, at eleven o'clock, conducted by Ed Wright. Mother Beedle was nearly 80 years old. All her children were present, as well as her two remaining sisters, Mrs. R. Jones and Mrs. Dan McCarthy. Quite a number from Boone and also from Ames were in attendance. The funeral was a large one, as grandma was an old settler and held in high respect by all who knew her. She will be greatly missed by the community and especially by her children. All was done for her that kind hands and loving hearts could do, but the Master called and she was ready to go. She was a good kind christian mother, neighbor and friend and will be missed by all. The children have the sympathy of the entire community in this their sad affliction, but what is their loss is her gain.
