W. G. Dickey died at his residence in Maxwell last evening, and the funeral will take palce Saturday at 10 a. m. He will be buried with Masonic honors. He was a member of the Chapter at this point and all who can do so should go down there upon the occasion.

Maxwell.

Wm. G. Dickey, brother to C. H. Dickey of this place died on Thursday, April 20th aged 56 years. Mr. Dickey was born at Elba, N. Y. and same to Iowa in 1861. He first settled in Delaware co., where he served as Post Master and Township Trustee for 12 years. In 1867 he was married to Miss Hattie E. Sherman. They had one child a son, Winfred G. Dickey, who lives in Maxwell, but travels on the road most of the time. They also adopted a daughter, now Mrs. Samuel Fletcher of Des Moines. Near 20 years ago they came to Story co., and settled in Maxwell. Mr. D. was city Assessor a number of times and was holding the office when he died. He had been in poor health for some time, but was in bed only a few days. The funeral was held on Saturday, and was under the direction of the Masons. The remains were taken to the Christian church at 10:30 a. m. The choir of the churches united in the music. Rev. Ferguson conducted the service assisted by the other ministers of the town, viz. Lint, Howe, Mowry and Scull. The Masons then took charge, and the burial was according to their ritual service, read by Dr. Joor as M. W., J. W. Maxwell acting Marshal of the day. Mr. D. was held in high esteem by all in this community, and his loss will be deeply felt.
