DIED--In this city on Sunday evening after a brief illness Mrs. Amanda Sharts Shaw, wife of J. B. Shaw. Mrs. Shaw was apparently in good health in the morning and attended church as usual. At ten o'clock in the evening she called and made known her illness and a physician was called but before his arrival the end had come, the apparent reason being heart failure. Her age was 65 years. She was born in the state of Indiana. The last rites were held at the Lutheran church, by Rev. Shrader, pastor, and the remains tenderly laid to rest to await the last call. She was the mother of three boys and three girls and all were present at the ceremony save a daughter who lives in Colorado. The family lived in Sherman township for many years but some five years since they moved to this city where they have since resided. She was an exemplary lady and the loss sustained by relatives and friends has been great, but it was the will of the All-Wise that it should be thus and all bow in humble submission to the fiat. The sympathy of all go to the stricken ones in this their hour of trial.
