From Story County Watchman February 24, 1899

Story City Messenger: ....Mrs. Elias Wadla, mother of Mrs. John Nelson of this place, died last Monday morning at her hom southwest of Roland. She was 87 years old at the time of her death. Her husband died several years ago, while residing in Story City.

Roland Record: ....Mrs. Inger Nelson Wadla was born in Norway and died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. H. H. Lura, near Roland, Feb 20th....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: Mrs. Nelson Wadla was buried in the Roland Cemetery as "Enga Nelson." Her husband was Elias Nelson.
