On December 28, at Mt. Pleasant, occurred the death of Mark Varnum, aged 73 years, 6 months. It will be remembered that Mr. Varnum was the aged gentleman taken to that institution by deputy Sheriff Banks last Oct. from near Zearing. He was an old settler of this county, and a highly respected citizen.
