We are sad to note the death of one of our old friends and neighbors, Mr. Tip Sawyer which occurred last Wednesday evening at his home north of here. The funeral was held last Friday at his home after which he was laid to rest in the cemetery at Ontario. A large procession accompanied the remains to its last resting place. Among the friends from a distance we noticed Richard Jones and wife, T. L. Jones and wife of Boone, Thomas Bevington, of Sioux City, W. M. Freed and wife and Daniel McCarthy of Ames, also Bro. Cory of Boone.
