OBITUARY.--Susannah W. Saunders was born in Pickaway county, Ohio, February 7, 1836. At the aged of four she, with her parents, moved to Arkansas, where they remained some nine years, at which time her father died, after his death the mother with her children moved back to Pickaway county, where they remained some eight years, from there the family moved to Story county where they have resided up to the present time. On the fourteenth day of October, 1870, Susannah W. Saunders was united in matrimony to Alfred Goodin, to them was born one son, Bennie E. Goodin. All these years she has proven a good and faithful wife and a kind and indulgent mother, consistent in all things at all times, having the fullest faith and confidence in Christ as her Savior. The funeral was held at the M. E. church in this city, Rev. J. Fegtly preaching the sermon for the occasion, after which the remains were laid away tenderly in the Nevada cemetery to await the call of the resurrection morn.
