Maxwell Tribune: ....Last Saturday occurred the funeral of Mrs. Shenkle, at the home of her son, W. T. B. Shenkle, near Collins. Mrs. Shenkle was 83 years of age and has been a long sufferer from rheumatism, which caused her death.

Collins Clipper: ....Grandma Shenkle had been ill for two weeks with rheumatism, that brought on heart trouble, from which she died at an early hour last Friday morning at the home of her son, W. T. B. Shenkle, in our city.
