Slater News: Mr. Anderson*, the aged father of J. A. Anderson, living south of Slater died Tuesday. He was nearly eighty years old....

SUBMITTER'S NOTE: John A. Anderson, who lives near Sheldahl in Lincoln Twp., Polk County, Iowa, lists his father as Andrew Johnson in the 1925 census. Andrew Johnson is buried in the Sheldahl cemetery with dates as 1818-1898-- eighty years old. I am quite confident the deceased "Mr. Anderson" is Andrew Johnson following the patronymic naming practice.
