From Story County Watchman October 15, 1897

Collins Liberator: ....Myrtle, the bright little daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Sam Thompson, whose serious illness was chronicled last week, died on Thursday last after being sick but three days with measles. The funeral was held on Friday interment being in Ashton cemetery.
