Ole Sandvick, a Norwegian, aged 22, was killed in mine No. 2 of the Boone Coal and Mining Co., three miles from Boone at 8:50 last Wednesday. A piece of coal from the roof of the mine fell on his head while he was at work, crushing and killing him instantly. Sandvick came there from Lehigh, Iowa, about a month ago. He has a brother in South Omaha and two sisters in Nevada, iowa, and no other relatives, so far as known. The body was brought to Nevada Thursday and the funeral takes place to-day.
