From Story County Watchman September 10, 1897
Collins Clipper: ....Oliver Ozmun, the subject of this notice, died at his home near Collins, Aug. 23, 1897. About 18 years ago he was overheated, which resulted in a shaking palsy. But still he did not give up work for many years, not until the shaking took possession of his whole body. About eight days previous to his death he took his bed and never left it until death relieved him of his sufferings, which were intense and severe. The sermon was preached by Rev. Spark from Deuteronomy 9th and 1st verse. After those sad rites were performed, the hearse with its sable steeds moved slowly to the Collins cemetery, and there tender hands laid to rest all that was mortal of the loved husband and father at the age of 65 years and some months.
